Stones filled with trucks for excavation ships are discharged to the sea at a depth of 28 meters. The interior area of the mire will be approximately 2 million square meters and a total of 2 million 400 thousand square meters of sea fill will be made. In the project, 65% of which has been completed, it is planned to commence production of base, sub-base and coating in March, 2020 in runway, apron and taxiway fields that produce dredging and filling. Infrastructure works of Rize-Artvin Airport, which is expected to be used by 3 million passengers per year, will cost 1 billion 78 million liras.
