In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation in the State of California, USA, $ 17 million was provided to 500 transportation projects.


The California State Transport Agency announced that it has awarded $ 500 million this year under the Transit and Intercity Railway Capital Program (TIRCP) for greenhouse gas emission reduction and low emission focused transport network projects. According to the statement, 17 transit and railway projects will benefit from the fund.

The largest share of the fund will be the Bay Area Rapid Transit network with 167 kilometers of length, with 5 or even 45 stations.
