Explaining that cargoes are transported to sister countries Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan over the Baku Tbilisi-Kars Railway line, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that the longest train carrying the highest load has been departing from Kars since the opening of the BTK line.
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the foreign trade of many countries has been disrupted within the scope of the new generation corona virus (Covid-19) measures. Turkey's taking all precautions, people that play an important role in maintaining of trade over the rail as contactless transfer of Ministers Karaismailoğlu, "especially Baku many countries trade in the region in this process-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) began to make out the railway line. Currently, a significant amount of cargo is being carried on the railway by keeping them in contactless and high disinfection processes within the scope of the new type of corona virus measures. ”

Emphasizing that the train carrying the cargo to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan consists of 82 containers, Minister Karaismailoğlu underlined that the train carrying the export materials produced in İzmir, Adana, Mersin, Kocaeli and Kütahya is 940 meters long and said:
“This train is the longest train ever operated on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line. Moving from Kars, it moved to Georgia, its first stop. It will drop its cargo in other countries on the line and reach Uzbekistan after 9 days. Within this 9-day period, it will deliver all the loads. Due to the new type of corona virus measures, many countries could not supply their needs. With this giant train, we will deliver our needs to our sister countries with Turkish products. There are many items in the train, from cleaning materials to automotive industry products. Of course, all transportation operations are carried out by subjecting them to human contactless and intensive disinfection processes. ”

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who stated that after the pandemic announcement of the World Health Organization, Iran road transportation was stopped and that the trade of Asian countries over Iran was shifted to the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line after the decision in question, " We took the necessary precautions from the moment of limitation in their passage. Since March 3, when the flights were restarted on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line, we have transported 3 thousand tons with approximately 100 thousand wagons, and 350 thousand tons with 55 thousand wagons from the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line ”.
