After the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called out to the nation in his speech, and the measures to be implemented against Kovid-19 were announced through the Development Agencies announced by all development agencies in our country that we will support innovative efforts to combat this disease. Within the scope of the three-stage plan, with the Kovid-19 Struggle and Resilience Program; Projects offering urgent solutions to minimize the spread of outbreak risk will be supported. The main priority will be the prevention and control of the spread of the virus, emergency preparedness and response for public health, reducing the negative effects of the epidemic on the country and the regional economy. Within the scope of time delays, application to agency supports was postponed for 2 months, and contracts for projects that are still under implementation were extended for 2 months. Within the scope of the post-epidemic rehabilitation works, studies on improving the socio-economic effects in the regions will be started already. Things to be done for the most affected sectors and community segments will be determined and reported at the regional level.

A NEW ADDED TO THE SUPPORT

The Ministry of Industry and Technology added a new one to its efforts to combat Kovid-19. While the development of vaccines continued at TÜBİTAK MAM, the Ministry has been in consultation with industry assemblies, organized industrial zones and chambers of industry, which have been operating on all fronts of production from the first days. Technopark companies have taken critical steps in rents so that they do not have economic difficulties, and have been instructed to not receive rent from management companies, incubators and commercial enterprises such as restaurants and cafes in technoparks for 2 months. The companies working in the field of R&D and design in the Technopark campuses' 2-month rents were delayed, and payment plans were also facilitated. The Ministry then commissioned the triple protection package of KOSGEB. In the outbreak, the most needed; launched a support package of up to 3 million lira per enterprise for the domestic production of healthcare products such as disinfectants, protective suits, protective glasses, masks, gloves. While products used in the diagnosis and treatment of Kovid-6 are supported within the framework of TÜBİTAK “SME R&D Initial Support Program, covid19.tubitak.gov.tr ​​portal was opened to include academic research and articles about the epidemic in the world and in our country.

KEY PRIORITIES DETERMINED

The Ministry of Industry and Technology finally engages in its three-stage plan to combat Kovid-19 through Development Agencies. The first stage of the plan was the Fight and Resilience Program with Kovid-19. With this program, projects offering emergency solutions to minimize the spread of epidemic risk in our country will be supported. The three main priorities of the program were the prevention and control of the spread of the virus, emergency preparedness and response efforts for public health, reducing the negative effects of the epidemic on the country and regional economy.

220 MILLION BUDGET

It was also clear that the budget size of the Combat and Resilience Program with Kovid-19 and who would benefit from the program. According to the program; While supporting innovative application developers, non-governmental organizations and companies can benefit from the program together with public institutions and organizations. Turkey will be across all 26 agencies in this process. Applications can be made electronically every day of the week. The total budget size of the program was determined as approximately 220 million liras. Applications to the program, which will be suspended for a month, will be finalized within three days.

2 MONTH EXTENSION TO THE CONTRACT TIME

The second measure to combat Kovid-19 was time delays. With this measure, the application period for agency supports was delayed by 2 months. Contract periods for the projects that are still in progress have been extended for 2 months.

IMPROVEMENT AFTER THE OUTSIDE WILL BE STARTED

The third phase of the plan will be post-epidemic improvement work. In this context, all development agencies will already start work on improving the socio-economic impacts of the Kovid-19 outbreak in their regions. What can be done for sectors and community segments most affected by the outbreak will be determined and reported at the regional level. These reports will also serve as an input to the work to be done at the national level.
