Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is distributing bread to the residents of Izmir who stay at their homes due to a two-day curfew.

The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality does not leave the residents of Izmir without bread due to the two-day curfew imposed in 30 metropolitan cities and Zonguldak with the circular of the Ministry of Interior. The police teams affiliated to the Metropolitan Municipality distribute bread to the people who cannot go out in the central districts of Izmir, Menemen and Menderes, especially the patients, who are 65 and over. The number of bread given to the households is determined according to the needs of the citizens, up to a maximum of 9.

The Kent Bread factory of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in Çiğli produced 120 thousand bread today. In case of need, Metropolitan Municipality will also supply bread from other bread factories to deliver to citizens.

After the circular, the production at the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Kent Bread factory was doubled. Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, after announcing a two-day curfew yesterday evening, said in his statement from his social media accounts, “Everyone stay at home. No need to panic. We will not leave anyone without bread, without water. Keep calm, be peaceful. We will continue to be with you. "We exist," he said.
