The fifth generation maglev train produced by the Chinese firm CRRC has successfully completed its final tests. As a result of the tests carried out in Tangshan city, it was announced on the company's website that the speed of 160 km / h was reached. Compared to other maglev systems, it consumes 20% less energy compared to trains at this speed.

The maglev train with a passenger capacity of 318 is very useful. The train used for urban or intercity transportation can consist of two or six wagons.

According to the CRRC company, the speed of these maglev trains will be increased to 200 km / h in the generative generation.
