Restriction is positive but insufficient

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer He reminded that they wanted a curfew to be imposed long ago to prevent the epidemic, and that they finally presented it as an official request at the Provincial Pandemic Board last Monday. Stating that they welcomed the recent restriction decisions, although they were insufficient, President Soyer said, "We reiterate our demand for a curfew to be declared without delay. There is no other way to stop and slow down the spread of the epidemic. In the meantime, we want people not to get on public transport without a mask. For this purpose, we took action on the purchase of masks days ago and showed our will. I hope the people of Izmir will abide by this rule. We will also support the people of Izmir who cannot provide masks," he said.
