Turritopsis dohrnii, who owes these ingenuity to the structure of his cells, begins his life as a floating larva named "Planula" in the water like other types of his class. Once the larva has fully developed, it attaches to the sea layer and forms many "Polyp" here. Polyps, a branched form and a development phase of such jellyfish, that is, the life of the creature is considered to have started exactly at this point.

The buds on the branches of the sufficiently developed Polyps open and hundreds of jellyfish come out of them. At this point, the lively life of Turritopsis dohrnii begins. Turritopsis grows like every creature after the birth of dohrnii. It hunts and breeds until adulthood. If he is lucky, that is, if he is not killed by his hunters, he comes to the stage we define as "old age".

Things are normal up to this point, but after this phase it gets a little strange. The reproduced Turritopsis dohrnii literally deceive death. Turritopsis dohrnii, which changes the structure of all the cells in its body when it gets older, allows the cells to spend their last remaining energy on rejuvenation rather than improving themselves.

With this process, the younger jellyfish return to the stage where they started their life, that is, Polyp, which is steadily clinging like a plant in the sea layer. The jellyfish, which has been mated at this stage, not only allows the new jellyfish to reproduce with the progeny taken from its spouse, but also comes out of this form as a young jellyfish. In addition, Polyp can return to the stage not only in old age, but also in situations such as extreme stress, environmental factors, attack by other living things, and disease.
