Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT and IZULAS general directorates took two more precautions to protect bus drivers from epidemics. The vehicles were made of nylon chauffeur cabins and a protective cap was produced for the personnel.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality also protects its personnel against the coronavirus epidemic. ESHOT and IZULAS headquarters took two additional measures for bus drivers from occupational groups at risk.
In the ESHOT and İZULAŞ workshops, half-cabin and non-cabin buses, chauffeur cab made of thick nylon material. In addition, in line with the opinions of the workplace physicians, a protective cap was produced for all drivers by the ESHOT General Directorate and these titles were distributed to the drivers.
An average of 1200 buses operate every weekday in İzmir. Approximately 2 drivers work in these vehicles.
