Huseyin Keskin, General Manager of State Airports Authority (DHMI), said in a post on Twitter that construction work on field hospitals at the Ataturk Airport campus, which was built within the scope of combating the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) outbreak, is continuing at a great pace.

Our General Manager's share on the subject from his twitter account (@dhmihkeskin) is as follows:

Having completed its historical mission in the development of Turkish aviation and transferred its service duty to Istanbul Airport, the new aviation center of the world, the construction work of the Sahra Hospital, which is of great importance in combating the pandemic, continues at great speed.

General aviation and cargo operations take place on the 05/23 runway in accordance with Annex-14 standards, without compromising flight safety and aviation security.

Since the runways at Istanbul Airport are in line with the runways, the runways included in the construction area are not used after the big move and provide parking service to Turkish aviation aircraft that cannot actively serve due to the pandemic.

We made investigations at Atatürk Airport, where hospital construction, general aviation and cargo operations continue uninterruptedly in different regions. Thanks to all our friends working devotedly during these days when we have followed the 14 Rules; I wish you success.
