WHO IS ADİL KARAİSMAİLOĞLU?
Born in 1969 in Trabzon, Minister Karaismailoğlu graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Mechanical Engineering Department; He completed his postgraduate education at Bahçeşehir University Urban Systems and Transportation Management program.
Karaismailoğlu, who started his first duty in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Directorate in May 1995, started working in IETT General Directorate in 1998 and worked as engineer and manager in various units there.
Since 2002, he has been working as the Assistant Manager responsible for the Traffic Control Center, Signalization, Intelligent Traffic Systems at the IMM Traffic Directorate, and was appointed to the Transportation Coordination Directorate on November 16, 2009.
Karaismailoğlu, who was appointed as the Head of Transportation Department on July 23, 2014, contributed to the realization of many projects related to transportation throughout Istanbul. After being appointed as the Head of the Istanbul Real Estate Department at the Prime Ministry Mass Housing Administration (TOKİ) in July 2016, he was appointed as the Deputy Secretary General responsible for Transportation, Environment and Technology Investments at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on 26 April 2018.
Karaismailoğlu, who is married with two children, was the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure with the Presidential Decree published on September 20, 2019.
