SummITS 2nd International Intelligent Transportation Systems (AUS) Summit was held on 11.03.2020 in Information Technologies and Communication Institution (BTK).
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan made the opening speech of the summit. Noting that it was happening in a technological age, so everything developed and changed at a dizzying pace, “Unfortunately societies that cannot keep up with this development and change have to take their place among the backward countries. Today, the development levels of the countries are directly proportional to the access infrastructure. Values such as 'national income per capita, literate rates' are not sufficient to determine modern civilization levels ”.
“AUS for Traffic Systems” session was held on the second day of the summit. Professor of Istanbul Commerce University. During the session of Mustafa Ilıcalı, TCDD Deputy General Manager Metin Akbaş made a presentation.
In his presentation, he gave information about smart transportation systems applications on railways and their innovations. The session was moderated by a question and answer session, General Director of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, General Manager of Coastal Safety Durmuş Ünüvar and TÜVTÜRK General Manager Kemal Ören.
