Alstom signed a contract to supply 30 Coradia Lint regional trains to Hessische Landesbahn (HLB). The contract is worth about 120 million €. Trains with 120 seats are wide and bright, equipped for disabled passengers and offer a unique travel experience thanks to their large windows. From 2022 Wetterau is supplied for the West-East network.
Each Coradia Lint 41 DMU has two multi-purpose areas for wheelchairs, prams and bicycles, and an unobstructed universal toilet. In addition, Wi-Fi is equipped to provide high-level passenger safety and a passenger information system with power sockets on the seats, real-time data monitors.
Trains are the first Coradia Lint 41 equipped with diesel engines that meet the new European Stage V emission standard. These will be produced in one of Alstom's largest manufacturing plants worldwide, in Salzgitter, Germany.
