Cengiz İnşaat won the tender for the 42.6-kilometer Krizevci-Koprivnica-Hungary Border Train Line, which will connect Central Europe and the Adriatic Sea, through Croatia, with a bid of 405 million euros.

The ceremony for the signing of procurement contracts, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Oleg Butkovic, HZ Infrastructure Chairman Ivan Krsic, Turkey and Croatia, Ambassador Mustafa Babur Speed, Cengiz Construction Board Member Asim Cengiz and Mohammad Genghis attended.

Croatian Prime Minister Plenkovic stated that the project is of great importance for his country, “A line of approximately 42 kilometers will be completed in 42 months. This means one kilometer per month and it is a very ambitious and fast time for such a project. ”

The speed of trains will reach 2024 kilometers per hour on the railroad, which will start operating in 9 and consists of 160 stations. Within the scope of the project, 635 bridges / viaducts, the longest of which is 16 meters, will also be built.

85 percent of the line cost, which will provide a great advantage to the region in both transportation and transportation sector, is financed by the European Union.

Cengiz Construction Deputy General Manager Ahmet Koyuncu said, “We have realized important projects in many parts of the world, including Europe. As in those projects, it will be our first duty to deliver the project on time by reflecting our high quality standards in this project. ” The project, including Chinese, Spanish, Austria, Greece, Slovenia and Turkey 10 giant companies had bid.
