IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu“We will not leave a single public transport vehicle in Istanbul that has not been disinfected. We invite all our chauffeur friends to our stations,” he said, and instructed the establishment of a mobile disinfection station.

Within the scope of the work carried out by the IMM Health and Transportation Departments, 15 mobile and fixed disinfection stations are in service at 00:46 in the afternoon. Thus, minibuses, taxi and taxi-filled vehicles providing public transportation services in Istanbul will be started to be disinfected against the Coronavirus.

Having signed an agreement with the car wash and auto hairdresser serving in many points of Istanbul, İBB and Topkapı, Şirinevler, Esenler Otogar for minibuses, Kadıköy Main Minibus Stations created spots in Pendik Main Minibus Stations.

The number of mobile stations will be completed by 100 this week. All 25 thousand minibuses, taxis and minibuses will be disinfected in a short time and will serve Istanbul in a hygienic environment.

A few minutes of work does not pose any danger to the driver and passengers. Vehicles that have been disinfected will be affixed with a sticker that says “Disinfected by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department”.

Disinfection products approved by the IMM Health Department and used in the intensive care of hospitals will be used in the studies. These products do not require the vehicles to be ventilated for a long time after the application and provide disinfection for up to 1 month.
