Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to solidarity with healthcare workers who could not leave their duties due to the new coronavirus epidemic. Snacks prepared for health professionals started to be distributed to hospitals.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to support healthcare professionals in Izmir. Metropolitan Municipality, which produces medical masks and distributes them to family health centers and hospitals, started to prepare and distribute pies and cookies for healthcare personnel who cannot leave the hospital.

The first production of 350 people prepared by pastry and cookery instructors of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Factory was delivered to İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Eşrefpaşa Hospital. Today, 1200 pie and cookie packages have been left at İzmir Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital. Tomorrow, SBU Dr. Foods prepared for Suat Seren Chest Diseases and Surgery Training and Research Hospital and the next day to the Health Sciences University Tepecik Training and Research Hospital will be delivered.

Production area is disinfected

Pastry and culinary instructors who produce at the building of the Vocational Factory in Halkapınar use bones, masks and gloves. Ercan Turan, one of the trainers of the Vocational Factory, underlines that the production area is disinfected every day and hygienic conditions are constantly controlled. Turan says that they will be at work every day to support healthcare personnel who have difficulties in accessing healthy food, and states that solidarity will continue.
