Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), expressed the signal that the work was started to restart the construction of the metro lines in the last quarter of 2019. The construction of the Tuzla, Kaynarca and Pendik metro lines, which is a very important metro line for Istanbul, begins again, according to the news from the official website of the IMM. The construction of the mentioned subway line, according to the sources of IMM, stopped 2 years ago and the works were completely interrupted. With the opening on February 3, 2020, the construction of the subway will start again.

Ekrem İmamoğlu will hold a ceremony tomorrow in Pendik to start the subway construction again. Pendik Kaynarca Tuzla Metro with 12 stations, which will have a length of 8 km, will ease the traffic. Within the scope of the project, the works will start again for the metro line, whose total length is approximately 12 km. 2022 independent lines will be built for the metro line, which has 8 stations planned to be opened in 2. One line will go to Sabiha Gökçen as a continuation of the Tavsantepe subway, while another line will go to Tuzla over Tavsantepe.
