The pedestrian road was put into use ...

Re-opening the Mecidiyeköy Metrobus Line Pedestrian Connection, which was temporarily taken out of use due to the construction of the said line and whose construction was completed. Ekrem İmamoğluTogether with the IMM senior management and the French Consul General in Istanbul, Bertnard Buchwalter, boarded the driverless M7 Test Train, and made a 30-minute journey from Mecidiyeköy Station to Tekstilkent Station, where the line's control center is located. İmamoğlu, who made investigations at the control center, shared the technical information about the line and the projects to be added in the future with the public in his speech afterwards.

“It will ease the burden of Istanbul”

Kabataş Mayor İmamoğlu, who gave the good news that the Mecidiyeköy - Mahmutbey line, which is the first stage of the Mecidiyeköy - Mahmutbey Metro Line, will be put into operation on May 19, said that the line will alleviate a heavy load in Istanbul traffic, especially the metrobus. In addition to this, he stated that they continue to work intensively on the Eminönü - Alibeyköy line. Ekrem İmamoğlu continued his words as follows:

“Eminönü - Alibeyköy will reach the end of 2020”

“Eminönü-Alibeyköy line is the first of our works walking in the ear. He is also in an intense effort towards the end of 2020 to meet Istanbulites in the last quarter. These are stationary, standing points when we arrive. We came here and saw the state of this place 5-6 months ago. We had friends attending. I remember it was the end of July. We care a lot. Almost so, we do a review of the agenda and the situation twice a week, about our subway lines. For example; Bostancı-Dudullu line is a line that I am very bored and sad. Because it was a part of the E-5, which has a parking lot of 1000 vehicles, accommodates a number of works in the position of a very important transfer center, but also connects with the sea line. Now being included in the investment plan is an event that paves the way for us to find the funding source. As IMM, it is a very special work that I have focused on commissioning this very fast. There is a very valuable line that brings people together with their business areas, as well as overlapping the stops on the E-5, going down to Bostancı and the beach, passing through the minibus line. It was important for us to include the rate in the investment plan. On the one hand, we already commissioned our 3 lines. Let us have our Göztepe and Ümraniye lines… Let us have the Sultanbeyli-Çekmeköy line… Let us have the Tuzla-Pendik line… That they connect to Sabiha Gökçen with one ear, our Tuzla-Pendik line… Important lines. In fact, we are planning to have our lines standing on our Anatolian side come to life and walk very intensely. All these works we have said, we are going to a fast run to reach our potential in 2024 kilometers in 600, along with the lines made by the Ministry of Transport. There are parts of these lines that will be put into service in 2020 and 21. Very very important, valuable. We are excited. We are working to introduce our citizens intensely to the metro in Istanbul. Our new projects will be their additions. As you said, the west of Istanbul is a bit of a victim in this sense. Especially; Our line, which passes through Başakşehir and meets Bahçeşehir-Esenyurt section after Mahmutbey, likewise Beylikdüzü ... This Beylikdüzü subway was a metro work waiting for approximately 17 years. With the part of Beylikdüzü subway that connects to Sefaköy, we continue our intensive studies on the rate, work, project design and financing. I even got a briefing about it this week. Hopefully, we will announce the tender to our citizens as soon as possible. ”

The effect of Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey line on traffic

Reminding that the transportation between Mecidiyeköy and Mahmutbey takes 1,5 hours during peak traffic hours. Ekrem İmamoğlu He continued as follows:
“We are talking about 15 stations, 1 million passengers a day. This is a line with very high bearing capacity. Later, when the Mahmutbey-Esenyurt line is activated, it will also be suitable for 8-vehicle operation. This is not just a Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey line, KabataşIt will be a line that will include Beşiktaş and continue to Esenyurt. The system in our control room, which you just saw, will turn into a project that encompasses this system and has the capacity and potential to manage those systems as it ends in time. ”

The first driverless subway of the European Side…

Kabataş Mecidiyeköy - Mahmutbey line, which is the first stage of the line designed between the Istanbul and Esenyurt as the first fully automatic driverless metro line on the European Side, will be the metro line with the highest passenger capacity of our country. line Kabataş section was tender separately as the 2nd stage. The section between Mahmutbey and Esenyurt will be tendered as the third stage. The 3-kilometer-long Mecidiyeköy - Mahmutbey line has the capacity to carry 18 passengers in 28 minutes in one direction.

With the opening of this stage of the line completely;
