Transport and Infrastructure Minister Cahit Turhan said we are waiting for the best position in the financial market for Antalya Airport tender
Stating that it is aimed to open the runway at Sabiha Gökçen Airport until the end of the year, Turhan said, “We have a runway here. Every night there are no flights. Just as there are requests for frequency allocation to our Istanbul Airport, there are flight demands here, but we are stopping this for now until the new runway is built. We will also take care of the old track. That's why we have stopped giving new frequencies here at the moment. ”
Turhan also gave the following answer to the question regarding the postponement of the tender to expand Antalya Airport:
"This airport gives an important contribution to Turkey's tourism. In the tender for Antalya Airport, we have postponed the process somewhat, considering that we will receive offers for the public good. We expect the best position and stabilization of the financial market. We expect a time when the risk rate of the tenderers who will bid on this work is minimized.
