The high-speed train station project designed for Eskişehir was deemed worthy of the 2020 World Architecture Award given by the World Architects Association in the project branch. The community, which is composed of academics, theorists, architecture writers, and architects working in various international institutions, awards 10 works prepared in the fields of project, building and student every year.

Master Architect Orhan Uludağ, one of the designers of the Eskişehir high-speed train station project, which was designed in 2018, said, “The Turkish Republic State Railways' Department of Survey Project has opened a project tender for the Eskişehir high-speed train station. After winning the tender, Prof. Dr. We started the design of the project in 2014 with Architect Zeynep Uludağ. We finished the project in 2018 and handed it over to TCCD. We were inspired by the historical train station in our project. The existing railway was dividing Eskişehir into two. We have designed a project that brings together both sides of the city and will also be a daily meeting point for the residents of the city. We applied for this competition because we think that the project we are doing is architecturally important. As a result of the voting by the jury, our project became one of the 2020 works that were deemed worthy of an award in the project category in 10.” (Idris Emen/Hürriyet)
