Ministry of Treasury and Finance: 'IMM Has Not Requested Credit Approval for Metro'

Ministry of Treasury and Finance, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluIn January this year, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality announced that there was no loan approval request submitted to the Ministry or rejected by the Ministry, regarding the claim that the loan request for metro lines was rejected by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

In the written statement made by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, “Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mr. Ekrem İmamoğluIn his statement on Tuesday, January 14 (Today), 'In 2020, we also opened a request for some metro lines, especially for which we provided credit facilities. Treasury approval is required for us to activate the loan. Our request for 3 lines was rejected in the first week of January. In January this year, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality did not have any loan approval request submitted to our Ministry or rejected by our Ministry.

In the statement, “With the letter dated 126 for the procurement of the Treasury non-guaranteed external borrowing permits, Üsküdar-Altunizade- Ümraniye Dudullu Metro Line, which was requested by our Ministry by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Başakşehir-Kayaşehir Metro Line Construction, Electromechanical Works and Vehicle Purchase, With the letter dated 29.11.2019 for Kaynarca-Pendik-Tuzla Metro Line Construction, Electromechanical Works and Vehicle Purchase, Çekmeköy Sultanbeyli Metro Line Construction, Electromechanical Works and Vehicle Purchase, Ümraniye-Ataşehir-Göztepe Metro Line Construction, Electromechanical Works and Vehicle Purchase projects, Mahmutbey-Bahçeşehir-Esenyurt and Kirazlı Halkalı It is already given with the letter dated 22.10.2019 for the Metro Lines Projects ”.
