The struggle against the cable car project of the residents of Kırkpınar Neighborhood in Sapanca district of Sakarya has been continuing for 120 days.

In August 2018, the tender for the Sapanca Municipality cable car project was launched. The cable car project, which started in Kırkpınar Neighborhood, was taken over by Bursa Teleferik AŞ with a 25-year build-operate-transfer model. The Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization excluded the project from the Etki Environmental Impact Assessment ”process. In the area where the cable car's top station is located, there will be facilities like 30 bungalows, country restaurants and country coffee. These facilities will be built by the company preparing the project and will be operated for 25 years. There will be a parking lot at the sub station. Within the scope of the works, many trees were dismantled in the sub station of the lift. The destruction of the cable car's top station was reflected in the photos.
