Stones filled into trucks on excavation vessels are discharged into the sea at a depth of 28 meters in the open. The interior area of the mender will be approximately 2 million square meters and a total of 2 million 400 thousand square meters of sea fill will be made. In the project, 52 percent of which has been completed, it is planned to start foundation, sub-foundation and pavement manufacturing in the runway, apron and taxiway areas, where dredging and filling production continues. The infrastructure works of Rize-Artvin Airport, which is expected to be used by 2020 million passengers per year, will cost 3 billion 1 million liras.
