MUSIAD Bolu Branch President Davut Uzun called for support for the re-evaluation of the High Speed Train Project planned between Ankara and Istanbul on the Duzce-Bolu-Gerede line. Uzun invited the people of Bolu to sign the petition for the re-introduction of the route and the feasibility study required. Uzun called attention to the importance of the project in the call for support and said that if the line was implemented over the requested route, Bolu would make a big economic leap.
High-Speed Train Project as one of Turkey's public development projects came to the agenda. Many parts of the project, which are discussed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in terms of technological point of transportation, development, security and travel comfort, have been realized and construction works are continuing in many places. The project is crucial in 3 city lines according to the population density. These cities are Istanbul-Ankara and Izmir lines. Duzce University Dean of the Faculty of Technology Dr. A new proposal was brought to the public agenda by Ayhan Şamandar 4 years ago. Şamadar proposed that the YHT line between Ankara and Istanbul was planned on the Ankara-Sincan-Çayırhan-Sakarya-Istanbul route and that this plan should be re-evaluated. Şamandar claimed that the YHT line should proceed on the Düzce-Bolu-Gerede line and made a request to the Ministry of Transportation for this issue to be put on the agenda again. Şamandar, who initiated a signature campaign in Düzce for the Ministry to evaluate this issue, also requested support from the other province of Bolu. The first response to Şamandar came from MÜSİAD Bolu Branch. MUSIAD Bolu Branch Chairman Davut Uzun said that they are ready to give the necessary support for the review request.
