Minister Varank made evaluations regarding the “National High Speed Train” project on the rail systems, which is determined as the sectoral priority in the Eleventh Development Plan and the 2023 Industry and Technology Strategy prepared within this framework.
In this regard, Turkey Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the Republic of Turkey State Railways of the (TCDD), explaining that work together Varank, "the next 10 years in Turkey 15 billion euros in rail auctions will be held, we see it as an opportunity. Varank, pointing to eliminate the dependence locomotive of Turkey abroad with products produced by the two institutions, "Now it's high-speed train. We believe that we will write the success story under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure by including private sector companies in this matter. Today, Turkish companies can export trams and light metro to Europe and sell products to metro tenders. We will put all of these together and hopefully write a success story on the rail transportation systems. ”
Minister Varank said that in 2023, the first prototype of the national high-speed train was intended to be on the tracks.
