IETT has opened 34 new lines, 15 of which are on the European side and 49 on the Anatolian side, to meet the transportation needs of Istanbul residents.
IETT aims to provide comfortable transportation services to Istanbul residents. The company opened 4 new lines, 9 for Marmaray transportation, 8 for Istanbul Airport, 3 for metro, 10 for Metrobus and 34 for other routes.
A total of 1 new lines were put into service on the Anatolian side, including 1 for metro, 2 for Istanbul Airport and 15 for Marmaray.
To reach Marmaray on the European side; For transportation to MR40, MR41, MR50, MR51, Yenikapı-Haciosman subway; 48D, 39A, 55V, 62H for transportation to Istanbul Airport; İST-4, İST-5, İST15, İST-1, İST 20, H-6, H-7, H-8 and H-9 lines were put into service.
For transportation to Metrobus; HT19, 76GM, 76SM lines were put into service, while the Topkapi-Mescidi Selam tram line; 48G and ST36 lines activated. 97BT, 47K, D3, 54P, 144K lines were opened on other routes.
In addition, Esenler Giyimkent-Üçyüzlü Metro line MK51, Zeytinburnu-Üçyüzlü Metro line MK52, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Hospital-Mahmutbey Metro line; HT2, 48R lines were opened for transportation to the City Forest.
On the Anatolian side, the new lines between IST-8 and Pendik-Istanbul Airport, KM18 and Medeniyet University-Pendik Metro / High Speed Train, MR60 and Pendik High Speed Train Sabiha Gökçen Airport, MR61 and Güzelyalı-Tuzla State Hospital started to serve.
In addition, evaluating the demands and needs of passengers, the authorities, apart from these lines in 11 different routes also put the new line into service.
