The tender of the infrastructure facilities of the Çorum Airport consisting of 2100 x 30 m runway, 125 x 18 m sized taxiway and 80 x 50 m apron was carried out by the Governorship of Çorum on 27.11.1996. Çorum Airport construction could not be completed due to the decision of the YPK numbered 27.12.2002/2002 and the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 132 and numbered 30.12.2002/2002.
Next year study conducted in Turkey and work in line with the Air Transport General Studies; Since it is considered that an airport can be built in Çorum if the passenger expectations and traffic forecasts increase, there is no study for airport construction at this stage.
On the other hand, between Samsun-Amasya-Çorum-Kırıkkale (292 km), it is planned to construct a double line, electric and signaled high speed railway line, suitable for 200 km speed, in Samsun - Merzifon, Merzifon-Çorum, Çorum-Delice.
In Çorum-Kırıkkale (Delice) (100 km) section, survey and project studies have been completed. Surveys and projects are ongoing in Samsun-Merzifon (99 km) and Merzifon-Çorum (93 km) sections and it is aimed to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2020. Following the completion of the project work, it is planned to propose to be included in the investment program for the construction. ”
