Çiğli Municipality Did Not Forget Students in Cold Weather

Cigli Mayor Utku Gumrukcu, Izmir Katip Celebi University during the final exams in order to support students to meet the need for transportation and distribution of hot soup ordered.

Çiğli Mayor Utku Gümrükçü started to work for Izmir Katip Çelebi University students to walk approximately one kilometer from Izban Egekent exit to the campus during their final exams. President Gümrükçü also provided hot soup distribution at the university throughout the finals to warm the students in cold weather. Reminding that they cooperate with Izmir Katip Celebi University, which is one of the important universities of Izmir, and that they have signed many protocols together, President Gümrükçü said, “Our Rector. In addition, as a municipality, we try to meet the needs of our university and students, within our authority and capabilities. Currently, the biggest problem is the distance between Izban Egekent Stop and the campus. We work closely with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for the solution of the stop problem. But for now, we have put ring trips between the campus of Izban Egekent Stop, Balatçık Mahallesi and the campus, in order not to keep our students cool, especially during the final exams in cold weather. We carry our students two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. ”

President Gümrükçü: “Hot soup attracted attention”

Reminding that they also started offering hot soup that will warm the students with the cooling of the weather, President Gümrükçü continued: “In these cold weather, we said that we should have hot soup in the morning during the finals so that our students will warm up and do not neglect to have breakfast from the test rush.
