Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is discussing the Kanal Istanbul project, which is intended to be implemented in Istanbul, a unique city with its natural beauties, historical and geopolitical location, at the workshop where the leading academicians of our country will attend. Kanal Istanbul, which has not been evaluated with public discussion until now, will be discussed by scientists for the first time in a participatory manner.
In the workshop, all possible impacts of the Kanal Istanbul Project, which was introduced to the public in 2011 as the "Crazy Project", will be thoroughly evaluated. Besides the urbanism, transportation and cultural heritage aspects of the project, environmental, social and legal aspects will be discussed. Kanal Istanbul's security, disaster risk and seismicity issues will also be open to discussion by experts.
