Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan from CHP said that he wanted to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding the problems and demands of the city, but he could not get a response. Özcan stated that they requested an appointment 27 times orally and 2 times in writing in the last month.
Özcan stated that he wants to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in order to pass the High Speed Train (YHT) line through Bolu and stated that the only response he received is "We will call you".
Özcan said: “We want Bolu to be included in the High Speed Train route between Ankara and Istanbul. In the last month, we requested an appointment 27 times orally and 2 times in writing. If Erdogan listens to us, he will see that we are right. If necessary, I will walk to Ankara. This project is of great importance for the development of Bolu. Thus, a 5 million lira return will be provided. ”
