The general tender announcement of the Üçyol - Buca Metro project, which is known as the biggest investment in the history of Izmir, was published on the website of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In the international tender, it is planned to request bids and start the construction in the second half of this year.

The general tender announcement of the Üçyol - Buca Metro project was published yesterday on the website of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). It ensures that all companies in the world who may aspire to general advertisement production are aware of the project and prepare for the tender.

In the next period, a separate tender will be held within six months to receive the offers and the winning company will be determined. Construction is planned to start in the second half of this year. EBRD signed an 80m-euro financing authorization agreement with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality last December.

The biggest investment in Izmir history

Üçyol - Buca Metro will be the biggest investment project in Izmir history. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will do the project with its own resources. The length of the line to be opened with the deep tunnel technique will reach 13,5 kilometers. The line, which starts with Üçyol and consists of 11 stations, will include Zafertepe, Bozyaka, General Asım Gündüz, Şirinyer, Buca Municipality, Butchers, Hasanağa Garden, Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Koop and Çamlıkule stations.

Buca Metro, at the Üçyol Station with the metro line running between F. Altay-Bornova; IZBAN line will meet at Sirinyer Station. One of the biggest features of this project is that it is "driverless subway".

Workshop and maintenance building will also be built

Within the scope of the project, a maintenance workshop and warehouse building with an indoor area of ​​80 thousand square meters will also be built. In the two-storey building, the lower floor will be used as overnight stay and the upper floor as the vehicle maintenance and repair floor. There will also be administrative offices and staff areas upstairs.
