The IMM Assembly approved the transfer of the registered phaeton plates in Adalar to IMM for a price of 300 thousand TL.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Council made an important decision and resolved the problem of phaeton and horses in Adalar district, which has been on the agenda for a long time. At the first assembly meeting of January, the report on horses and vehicles used in public transportation in Adalar, which was sent to the relevant commission upon the proposal of the Directorate of Public Transport Services, came to the agenda today at the IMM assembly. The proposal submitted to the Assembly as a joint report of the IMM Assembly Law, Plan and Budget, Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock and Aquaculture commissions was accepted unanimously.

According to the report, IMM would pay 277 thousand lira for each of the 250 registered phaeton plates in Adalar. While the proposal was being discussed in the Assembly, it was proposed to increase the amount to 300 thousand liras per plate. The 300 thousand lira bid was approved unanimously.

The report also includes the purchase of the number of horses by the Veterinary Services Directorate at a cost of TL 4.000 (up to 6 horses per carriage) and the transportation of the vehicle with the number of electric vehicles determined by UKOME.

Following the vote, Erdem Gül, Mayor of Adalar, took the floor and thanked the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
