Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Konya Governor Cüneyit Orhan Toprak, AK Party Konya Deputies Gülay Samancı and Selman Özboyacı, Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay and AK Party Konya Provincial Chairman Hasan Angı made examinations in the ski area in Derbent Aladağ. Minister Ersoy said, “Derbent is a lucky region due to Konya's high-speed train connections. It has the potential to take very comfortable skiers and tourists from metropolitan areas. Derbent will become a good ski resort in the future. ”
After the declaration of “Culture and Tourism Protection and Development Region” with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, efforts continue to make the region a winter sports center and bring it to tourism.
In this context, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy; Konya Governor Cüneyit Orhan Toprak, AK Party Konya Deputies Gülay Samancı and Selman Özboyacı, together with Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, AK Party Konya Provincial Mayor Hasan Angı and Derbent Mayor Hüseyin Ayten made examinations in Aladağ ski region.
WE STARTED WORKS AS OF TODAY
Stating that they have started the studies to turn Derbent Aladağ ski region into a ski center, Minister Ersoy said, “It is necessary to work on them all season long. There are reports that should be prepared according to the mobility of the abdomen. After these reports are completed, we will come back like April. We will see exactly what kind of a project we can put here. Derbent is a lucky region due to Konya's high-speed train connections. It can be fed very easily, especially from the domestic market. When Istanbul and Ankara, as well as İzmir high-speed train connection is completed, it has the potential to take very comfortable skiers and tourists from all three metropolitan cities. If the reports we want come out as we hope, I hope it will appear. Derbent will become a good ski resort in the future. ”
PRESIDENT ALTAY THANKS TO MINISTER ERSOY
Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay thanked Minister Ersoy for his Konya projects and his close interest in Konya, especially on the issue of Derbent Aladağ being a ski resort. Stating that Konya has an important tourism potential with its districts, Mayor Altay said that they are working with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to realize important projects in order to get sufficient share from tourism.

Following the review of Derbent Aladağ, Minister Ersoy discussed Konya projects with Konya Governor Cüneyit Orhan Toprak, AK Party Konya Deputy Selman Özboyacı, Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay and AK Party Konya Provincial Chairman Hasan Angı at the Metropolitan Municipality Mevlana Cultural Center.
