Thanks to the measures taken by the IMM, the number of accidents connected to the IETT has decreased significantly compared to the previous year. İETT, Otobüs AŞ. and Private Public Bus vehicles were involved in a total of 14 accidents, while this figure declined to 770 in 2019.
Within the scope of the measures taken by IETT, one of the affiliates of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), the number of injuries and fatal accidents was reduced in 2019. In 2018, the number of accidents with the IETT bus was 7 103 and this number decreased to 2019 thousand 5 in 271. There were 2018 accidents in 454 and 2019 accidents in 243 with Metrobus vehicles. In 2018, 277 injured accidents and 2019 injuries and 144 fatal accident occurred in Private Public Buses.
