Expeditions between Bakırköy and Yenimahalle were stopped for a while due to a fire in the electrical wiring between Marmaray Bakırköy and Yenimahalle stops.
A fire occurred in the electrical cables between Marmaray Bakırköy and Yenimahalle stops around 14.30. Firefighters who came to the scene to intervene the cables that started to burn for an unknown reason broke the stone barge with sledgehammers when they had to use the road covered with stone and iron pontoons to intervene in the fire.
Before firefighters intervened in the fire, it was not possible to travel between Bakırköy and Yenimahalle stops for 15 minutes due to the electricity cut off in a part of the Marmaray line. After the fire brigade put out the fire on the cables, Marmaray flights started again.
