Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge'nin 14 Percent Hike

The fees paid by vehicles wishing to use the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge were applied with a 14 percent hike. Thus, the passenger vehicle pass from 19.15 TL increased to 21.90 TL, and the fee for light commercial vehicles increased from 25.5 TL to 29.10 TL.

About Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge

Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge or Third Bosphorus Bridge is a bridge built on the north side of the Bosphorus overlooking the Black Sea. Its name was given to the ninth Ottoman sultan and the first Ottoman caliph Selim I. The bridge route is located in Sarıyer's Garipçe neighborhood on the European Side and in Poyrazköy district of Beykoz on the Anatolian Side.

The bridge is the widest in the world with a width of 59 meters, the tallest suspended bridge with a tower height of 322 meters, the world's tallest suspension bridge with its second tallest tower in all bridge classes and the longest with all the main suspension bridges with its main span of 1.408 meters, and the ninth among all the suspension bridges. It is the longest middle span suspension bridge. Its foundation was laid in May 2013 and it was opened to traffic in August 27 after it was built in 8,5 months, spending TL2016 billion.
