Thales won the tender for the extension of the Sydney Underground to the City and the Southwest, and signed the Central Control and Communications contract.

This contract for the expansion of the Sydney Underground's Central Control and Communication Systems is a huge project. City Metro and XTRUMX signed a contract with Hong Kong-based MTR Corporation to expand to the Southwest (SMCSW) of AUD million (EUR 250 million).

Thales will design, manufacture, supply, test and commission Central Control and Communication Systems in the SMCSW expansion project. The Sydney Metro is an extension of the North West (SMNW) project, whose network includes the 66 mile rail line and the 31 subway station, from Chatswood to Sydney Harbor and from Sydney's CBD to Sydenham.
