TCDD and its Subsidiaries Abdullah Peker, Chairman of the Transport and Railway Employees Union, made a written press statement on the recruitment of 3,477 subcontracted workers working at TCDD and its Subsidiaries (TÜDEMSAŞ, TÜLOMSAŞ, TÜVASAŞ).
Peker's written statement is as follows; “Our subcontracted workers who work in all kinds of jobs in public institutions and organizations are waiting with hope, dear officials, you have no right to disappoint these people. While staff is given in some institutions, it is against the constitution that some institutions are not appointed.
Features TCDD and its Subsidiaries TÜDEMSAŞ, TÜLOMSAŞ and TÜVASAŞ should immediately be given staff rights to all subcontractors who work with great effort and prevent material and moral losses.
No institution has any superiority or difference from another institution. Even subcontractors working in TCDD and TÜDEMSAŞ, TÜLOMSAŞ, TÜVASAŞ work in heavier and risky jobs compared to other institutions.
In the state there is continuity, the subcontractors working in each institution must have equal rights and equal conditions.
These people, who receive their wages at minimum wage and try to live in shortage of livelihoods, are the people who defend their country in the squares in July.
The wages of subcontractors should be at least 3000 TL. The wages of those working in railways should be taken as a basis. The social state understanding requires this. "
