Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has signed an important project to increase public transportation opportunities to the districts outside the city center. The first step of the project, the preparatory work of which was carried out by the General Directorate of ESHOT, was taken with a ceremony in which 28 new type of new vehicles were introduced in Seferihisar.
Speaking at the ceremony, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer He emphasized that the project will be one of the cornerstones in the city's transportation history. President Soyer said, “We are bringing more quality, higher standards and corporate identity to the public transportation service provided by cooperatives in the surrounding districts. Instead of minibuses, there are İZTAŞIT buses equipped with the latest technology, comfortable, environmentally friendly, disabled-friendly, air-conditioned, cameraed and low-floor.
All surrounding districts in the near future
Stating that in the near future, within the scope of the İZTAŞIT project, public transportation will be provided in all the surrounding districts of İzmir, President Soyer said: “This service will be under the assurance and supervision of the 76-year-old public transportation plane, ESHOT. Our individual transporters will achieve corporate identity and prestige. Serious comfort and comfort will be provided for our citizens. ESHOT has made it suitable for public transport
