
German giant Siemens's new High Speed Train (YHT) for TCDD is unveiled. YHT, which can go at 300 kilometers per hour, aims to give the passengers a more comfortable and fun experience.
TCDD, which signed a 2018 million euro agreement with Siemens, the biggest technology company of Europe, for the production of 12 High Speed Train (YHT) in 340, recently received the first one. The new YHT, which was withdrawn to the High Speed Train Maintenance Center in Etimesgut, will be put into service in 2020 after the tests.

TCDD is expanding its High Speed Train network and wants to be one of the leading transportation services in Europe in this field. The organization, which already has the 19 YHT set, will increase this number to 31 with the new sets from the German giant Siemens.

According to Habertürk, the new YHT comes with many innovations. Authorities, in the light of the feedback of passengers in the cafeteria section of the number of seats and tables 16'dan 36'ya passed. In addition, the number of sockets in the wagons has been increased in order to allow passengers to charge their phones and laptops more easily. In addition, each car has a special two-seat section for disabled passengers.

Today, TCDD, which provides High Speed Train service between Ankara-Eskişehir, Ankara-Konya, Eskişehir-Konya, Eskişehir-Istanbul and Konya-Istanbul lines, has hosted approximately 53 million passengers so far. The new YHTs produced by Siemens at its facilities in Düsseldorf, Germany are planned to enter service starting in February 2020.
