Engineer Candidates Examined Antalya 3rd Stage Rail System Project

The students of Akdeniz University Civil Engineering Department organized a technical trip to the 3rd Stage Railway System Project of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Young Engineer candidates, on-site technical studies with the project visit.

Metropolitan Municipality, 3rd Stage Railway System Project continues uninterrupted. Varsak'ı Bus Station, Mediterranean University, Meltem, Atatürk Training and Research Hospital and the city center, the project will connect the university students was the subject of review. Akdeniz University Civil Engineering 4th Grade students organized a technical trip to the construction site of the 3rd Stage Rail System.

RAILS LAYING

During the technical tour organized with the participation of approximately 40 students, Calligraphy Manufacturing Chief Evren Dursun informed the students with the project. Dursun said that 50 percent of the project which has been completed between Otogar-Meltem has been completed so far and 1.5 km rail installation has been made since the tunnel exit.

THEORETICAL INFORMATION IN THE FIELD

Civil Engineering Department Transportation Department Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Sevil Köfteci stated that the technical trip was very beneficial for the students. We have technically examined the rail system line, project and stages. Such technical trips are useful for students. They get the opportunity to examine the theoretical issues on the spot. Our students have seen the stages of construction manufacturing and technical productions such as balancing the rails.
