TCDD Chairman of the Board and General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun, assistant general manager and the accompanying delegation made observations on the Ankara Sivas High Speed Train line. İhsan Uygun received information from company officials about the progress processes. He examined the precast concrete road production together with the delegation.
Ankara Sivas High-Speed Train line Kırıkkale between Yerköy Line-1'de line ferries, between Yerköy-Sivas Line-2'de line ferrous is in the process of completion. Moreover, the target program of the electrification and signaling productions continues at full speed despite all bad weather conditions.
About Ankara Sivas High Speed Train Project
Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line, the railway is being built in Turkey between Ankara and Sivas city. High Speed Train services will be arranged by TCDD on the line which will be double-line, electric and signaled. The line will then be extended to Kars and connected to Baku Tbilisi Kars Railway.
Construction of 442 km length of Yerköy Sivas line of Ankara Yozgat Sivas line with total length of 293 km started in February 2009, physical infrastructure works were completed at 80% and 144 km length section was finalized in 9 February 2015. The minimum speed of the 174 km Ankara-Yerköy line is planned to be 250 km per hour. Ankara Yozgat Sivas high speed train project will reduce the transportation on the specified routes from 12 hours to 2 hours to 51 minutes. It was announced that the opening of the line will take place before May 2020.
