Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department ended the 'green flash' application at traffic lights on the grounds that it increased the accidents. In this context, the green light will turn directly to yellow light and then to red light.

Making a statement on the subject, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department President Kadir Gürkan said, "It was decided to remove the green flash light application in order to prevent possible accident-related accidents and increase traffic safety."
