MILLIONS OF EUROS WILL STAY IN OUR COUNTRY

In a statement after the flight, Varank said that Cappadocia is the meeting point of millions of local and foreign tourists.

Explaining that Cappadocia is the second address that people ask with Istanbul abroad, Varank said:

One of the features that make this tremendous geography so attractive is of course balloon tourism. During this visit, I was very pleased to participate in the test flight of our certified balloon and even to use the balloon for a while. When you consider only the production phase, millions of euros will remain in our country. Taking into account the maintenance, repair and other expenses of balloons, we are talking about a much larger economy with high export potential. The contribution of this economy to both employment and talent development in our producers is very important.

ANNUAL 3 MILLION EUR COST

The domestic hot air balloon, designed and produced by Pasha Balloons with the support of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, made its first test flight on October 11.

The world's most important center of Cappadocia, as well as hot air balloon flights in that position Turkey in different fields across the 230-year balloon fabric dome replacement and maintenance costs are approximately 3 million euros. With the capability achieved in the production of hot air balloons, it is aimed to reduce the expenditures made for maintenance and repair costs in the first place, and to produce 60 balloons annually in the future.

Each balloon, worth 80 euros, is planned to be exported as well as meeting the domestic demand. The domestic hot air balloon, whose test flights have been successfully completed, is said to be in demand from Qatar, Oman and Iran, as well as from some African countries.
