At the stops on the Metrobus Line, the period of 'stop signs' begins. Since the waiting areas of the passengers waiting for the Metrobus at the stop were not known, they were moving forward or backward according to the place where the vehicle was stopped. The rush to get on the metrobus sometimes caused unwanted rushing and collisions.
In order to prevent this situation, the General Directorate of IETT has started the Metrobus gate marking application for passengers, just like Metro stations.
IETT staff carried out intensive work during the night for the markings made according to the points where the gates of Capacity, the most common bus type in the Metrobus fleet, were located.
Initially launched at Zincirlikuyu and Şirinevler stations where passenger traffic is high, the application will soon be spread to other 42 stations.
