Global Success Award from IRF to Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge; Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which has many principles that can be counted as milestones in terms of world engineering history, won the grand prize in the "Design" category at the "Global Success Awards" given annually by the International Road Federation (IRF).

Bridge of the Firsts: Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge
The construction of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Ring Motorway project, which is the product of high engineering and technology, started with the groundbreaking ceremony held on 29 May 2013 and was completed in a record time of 3 years and opened on 26 August 2016.
The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which is designed to be one-floored, unlike other bridges in the world with both roads and railroads, passes 8-lane highway and 2-lane railway. For this feature, the main cables of the bridge, the vertical suspension ropes and the inclined suspension cables connecting the deck to the towers were combined and a hybrid bridge with high rigidity was designed. Fine aerodynamic decks were used throughout the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge.
Yavuz Sultan Selim, which takes its place among the few bridges of the world with its aesthetic and technical features, is called the “bridge of the firsts”. Another first of the world's longest suspension bridge with a width of 59 meters, the main span of the world with its main span of 1.408 meters, is the suspension bridge with the highest tower in the world with its height exceeding 322 meters.
