Mehmet Mescier, Chairman of the Board of Karabük Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has published a press release regarding the establishment of Raylı Transport Technologies Institute in Karabük.

President Mescier said the following in his statement; “We have been struggling with determination since 1937 to add new ones to our industrial engagement and to build a stronger Karabük. As a result of this determination Karabük, Turkey's iron and steel was honored to meet the needs for several years. World steel production in Turkey over the next 8 Karabük since 1937, is taking place not remarkable in terms of showing how important this area is able to work. However, at this point, it has become imperative that the economy of Karabük passes into a technology-intensive industry in order to maintain its competitive edge and consolidate its position in national and international markets. In this context, in order to adapt Karabük's industrial infrastructure to the age and new competitive conditions, we have provided great support to technology-intensive investments such as the Iron and Steel Institute, Rail Systems Engineering, Technopark, Eskipazar Metal and Metal Products Specialized Organized Industrial Zone; We supported university-industry cooperation at every opportunity and proved the support actually.

We have planned to change the industrial environment of Karabük in this long-term journey by guiding the experience of Karabük in the industry, the scientific competence of Karabük University and the experience and experience of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. In this direction, our ultimate goal is to contribute to the formation of a qualified industry in Karabük with all our strength as Karabuk Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In addition, Kardemir A.Ş. and Karabük University, our two competent institutions in the field of Rail Transport Technology, both scientific and product-based studies have shown so far. All in all a great part of Turkey is that the country needs to know that rail technology is provided from facilities on local and national Inc. Kardemir. Considering all these, it would be a more accurate and efficient step to establish the Institute of Rail Transport Technologies in Karabük instead of Gebze.
