The total length of the rail transport lines connecting 39 cities of China has exceeded 5,8 thousand kilometers.

China Ministry of Transportation Press SözcüWu Chungeng said that the number of passengers transported last year on the rail lines operating between 39 cities of the country was 21,3 billion. Wu stated that China ranks first in the world in terms of the number of cities where rail lines are opened, line length and number of passengers carried.

China, which has accelerated its rail transportation investments in recent years, is also the owner of new awards and records. On the other hand, China is expanding its international railway network within the scope of the Belt Road Project and is in a big development in freight transportation. For example, freight train services between China and Europe, which started in 2011, became 5 thousand 266 in the first eight months of the year. In the whole of last year, this figure was 6 thousand 300.
