Some parts of the historical Sirkeci and Haydarpaşa stations will be rented by the Republic of Turkey State Railways to be used for cultural and artistic events. İBB President İmamoğlu said that as a municipality, they aspire to the tender for TCDD to rent some parts of Sirkeci and Haydarpaşa stations for cultural and artistic activities.
Some parts of the historical Sirkeci and Haydarpaşa stations will be rented by the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) to be used for cultural and artistic events.
In the announcement published in the Official Gazette on Sunday, September 22, it was stated that the tender will be held on October 4. In order to participate in the tender, which will be opened with a monthly rental price of 30 thousand liras, 90 thousand liras of collateral must be deposited in the bank, while the rental period has been determined as 15 years.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu, said that they will enter the tender to rent all of the said places.
Ekrem İmamoğlu, in a television program he participated in, noted the following: Haydarpaşa Station, Sirkeci Station is going out to tender. As the metropolitan municipality, we will enter the tender to buy it completely. It came out as tourism, cultural and social services. Let us announce that we will participate there decisively, on behalf of the people of Istanbul, as IMM. By adding Haydarpaşa to the Harem, we want to create a cultural space and establish the axis of the holiday celebration there. There will be a closed-to-traffic rail system in the Harem Üsküdar area.
According to the land registry records, 1 island where Sirkeci Station is located, 20 parcels are 98 thousand 199 square meters. TCDD, on the other hand, will rent a total of 2 thousand 420 square meters of this area, 4 thousand 170 square meters of which is closed.
Again, according to the land registry records, Haydarpaşa Train Station, located on block 240, parcel 16, covers an area of 390 thousand 700 square meters. The part to be rented is a total area of 2 thousand 340 square meters, 25 thousand 50 square meters of which is closed.
