İzmir Gulf Festival, which will be organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality on 27-29 September, brings concerts, performances and other enjoyable activities together with sailing races.

İzmir Arkas Gulf Race, which is the main event of the festival which will take the stage for the third time this year, will raise the excitement of the sea to its peak. Karşıyaka İzmir Bay will be warmed with sailing races hosted by the Sailing Club and canoeing and rowing races that will give the audience pleasant moments in Pasaport. Competition on the shore will be decorated with concerts and various activities.

The interest in the İzmir Arkas Gulf Race, which is organized with the support of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Sailing Federation, Çeşme Marina Aegean Offshore Yacht Club and Konak Pier, is increasing every year. Over 40 boats and nearly 400 competitors participated in the İzmir Arkas Gulf Race in the first year, while the number of boats had increased to 50 last year. This year, nearly 50 boats are expected to participate in the race. Trophy looking for new owner

Last year's winner Arkas-MAT Sailing Team will deliver the trophy, which it has kept in its museum for a year, to the racing committee at the opening ceremony to be held at Kültürpark on the evening of 27 September. The winner of the race in 2019 will be announced on Sunday, September 29, after a pleasant but challenging race for two days.
